PHP, Laravel, and JavaScript are used to revamp ETSU's existing Faculty Teaching Credentials System (FTCS) with newer technology and a newer and responsive design.

This site required accessibility depending on credential level, and added functionality to allow quick updates to the database with a click of the button via the website, rather than only through the backend.

Green Light Optimal Speed Advisory (GLOSA) Application - Capstone Project

Screenshot from initial middleware framework for the Green Light Optimal Speed Advisory (GLOSA) Application capstone project. This application uses traffic signal control information and vehicle location (V2I) to provide driver safety and awareness, optimal destination routing, and improved gas mileage and fuel emissions.

As the lead developer in the middleware division, I created the initial framework utilizing multiple threads, states, transitions, events, and guards. The middleware will be the decision-maker between Android's UI and the Java backend. Spring state machine acts as a petri net, allowing multithreading necessary due to the complexity of the project.

Big Data Analysis of Muesli breakfast products using Tableau

Analyzed and organized datasets to view patterns and correlations such as Inventory and Production , and Sales and Market. Those were examined first to spot patterns that may be useful to the stakeholders. Based on the datasets, charts were split into three categories: Inventory, Sales, and Financial. The charts were organized to insure that all facets of the database were explored, providing structure for the presentation story.

The focus was to create informative charts that tell accurate data at a glance. In most cases, filters were added to allow a clearer view of specifics, which may be obscure in the broader layout. To determine which charts might appeal to the Muesli Board of Directors, research was done to hit key topics.

This lab was created for undergraduate computing department students taking a network security course. These exercises were chosen to to introduce students to password decryption.

A final exercise in the lab demonstrates the devastating effects of a virus on a machine. A virtual machine is used in the exercise and students are to use extreme caution if proceeding with the final exercise. A regular and a solutions version were created.
